Delica Kitchen

The new adorable gourmet sandwich/take-out 'kitchen' at Yonge and St. Clair has a lot going for it. There's the cuteness factor - the outside, the inside and the name of the sandwiches (the Italian job, the garden party). There's the ACE Bakery bread (Delica is owned by the daughter of Ace founders). And then there's the homemade oreo cookies and the freshly made strawberry doughnuts called 'jammies,' which I have to admit, I would have enjoyed more if they were warm. More seating would be nice too but unfortunately there's only room for a small bar at the back. There was a delicious sounding soup with lentils and bacon but sadly none left by the time I got there. The turkey sandwich I ordered was more bread than filling, which didn't seem right, but the chicken sandwich was balanced much better. If you live or work at Yonge and St. Clair Delica is a great place to grab fast and fancy ready made food. http://www.delicakitchen.ca/
